Re-Covering the Plague Year

AJPYWeekly Photo Challenge: Cover Art — “Guest host Pete Rosos invites you to imagine the cover of a favorite book, music album, or magazine.”

I have a lot of favorite books. A lot a lot. One of them is A Journal of the Plague Year by Daniel Defoe. Yes, I’m twisted. Yes, that’s fine.

And it’s the only one appropriate for my dead bird picture.

A Journal of the Plague Year is almost 300 years old. The plague it chronicles is The Plague Year of 1655. It is a work of fiction, though it doesn’t feel like it. It was and still is (in collegiate professor circles) one of controversy, which, of course, is absolutely why you should read it.
